CHALLENGE

The company needed a partner with strong user interface and branding experience to expand its existing drilling management applications. The custom user interface would:

Display drilling parameters along with IADC reporting, in a user-friendly, cutting-edge format that utilized a touchscreen interface for all application components

Provide graphically rich visualizations of real time data streams from multiple third-party sources

Be highly configurable, allowing end users and developers to display data into custom interfaces

SOLUTION

After winning a competitive bid process, Sparkhound built a well-defined, custom user interface to support Oilfield’s existing drilling management application:

 Built system objects as individual components within the Windows-based application to accommodate user configuration and third-party data feeds
 Captured and displayed drilling survey information in a user-intuitive, highly-customized interface for touchscreen devices

IMPACT

With a dynamic user interface utilizing advanced graphic technology, the new UI helped modernize an older interface, increase long-term global efficiencies and productivity, and made critical drilling information more readily available to customers.
